In this dashcam installation example photo gallery, we share the completed installation pictures of the dual-lens, full HD BlackVue DR470-2CH GPS-ready dash cam and Power Magic Pro in a 4th Generation (2011-2016) Subaru Impreza WRX.

Looking in through the front windshield at the front camera of the BlackVue DR470-2CH / DR590-2CH dash cam system, we can see how small the front camera is, and how well it hides neatly in front of the rear-view mirror.

The DR470-2CH / DR590-2CH with the dark colors and matching textures really looks like a factory (original) accessory device on this Subaru!

Moving to the driver side of the WRX, you can see that due to the small size of the DR470-2CH / DR590-2CH, the front camera is completely hidden from the view of the occupants of the car. This is great because the camera doesn't block the driver's line of sight in any way, like some larger dashcams (especially those with screens on them) might do.

Now looking in to the Impreza from the passenger side, we can see the DR470-2CH / DR590-2CH front camera and cabling (power, and video from rear camera). Notice how our skilled technicians use the original interior covers and trim pieces on this WRX to cleanly hide the wiring to the BlackVue dashcam as much as possible.

One more picture with the artificial lighting (camera flash) turned off, so you can get a better idea of what the DR470 front camera looks like in the Subaru, under typical lighting conditions.

Moving on to the rear of this WRX hatchback, with the hatch open we can see the rear camera of the DR470-2CH / DR590-2CH system.

With the hatch closed, BlackVue's rear camera is essentially invisible from the outside of the WRX. Do you see it? We don't!

Looking back at the rear-facing camera from inside of this WRX, you can barely see the lens at the top of the rear windshield.

Here's an arrow to help in case you had a hard time spotting the tiny rear camera of the BlackVue DR470-2CH / DR590-2CH dual lens dashcam system.

One final component of the setup, the BlackVue Power Magic Pro. This device allows you to connect the dashcam directly to your vehicle's electrical system, so that your cigarette lighter outlet stays open (for your phone charger or other device), and this also enables you to power the dashcam while your car is parked and the engine is turned off (this is known as "parking mode", which the BlackVue dashcams excel at).

Zooming out, you can see the Power Magic Pro control box is almost impossible to spot, and stays out of the way of the driver's safe operation of this WRX.

The Dashcam Store™ technicians use plug-and-play "add-a-circuit" fuse taps to connect the Power Magic Pro to the fuse box. This procedure is absolutely non-invasive and does not alter or damage any of your vehicle's wiring, so your factory warranty remains fully intact. This installation is 100% reversible and leaves no trace, should you choose to remove the dashcam from your vehicle (for instance if you are going to sell your vehicle) at a later date.
