The BlackVue DR590-1CH single-lens dashcam is an affordable, high quality replacement (or upgrade) of the last generation BlackVue DR450-1CH forward-facing dashcam. The DR590 has many of the same high end components as the DR750S-1CH, but without the WiFi or GPS built-in, which gives the 590 a much more friendly price point.
The DR590-1CH deserves the consideration of fleet managers and others drivers who may be looking for a reliable and affordable in-car audio and video recording solution. The crisp imaging provided by the Sony STARVIS technology give you a crisp view of your surrounding, day and night, even at highway speeds.
Similar to the DR590-1CH, also available is now the new DR590-2CH, which includes a separate rear camera for front and rear recording. The DR590-1CH on this page is designed for front-facing-only video and audio recording.
If you're looking for the WiFi enabled version, check out the DR590X-1CH. WiFi enables you to connect directly to the camera to configure settings, download videos to your phone without needing to remove the memory card from the dashcam (as is necessary on the non-WiFi DR590-1CH).
A Note on Memory Cards
BlackVue dashcams include a 32, 64, 128, or 256GB memory card. While the memory cards are removable and the card
slots will accept other brands of memory cards, we strongly suggest the use of only BlackVue memory cards in the
BlackVue dashcams, as the use of a non BlackVue memory card may cause performance issues and may void your
manufacturer’s warranty.
BlackVue OEM memory cards are industrial-grade and are designed and tested to withstand the extreme temperatures and
the constant read/write cycles of high quality dashcams. Consumer-grade memory cards such as those from SanDisk or
Samsung are simply not up to the task. Stick with the OEM BlackVue memory cards to ensure your dashcams are always
recording when it matters most.
