In this dashcam installation photo gallery, we go over the final product of hardwiring the new dual-lens, local-WiFi enabled, 1080p Full HD BlackVue DR590W-2CH-IR dashcam in a Chevrolet Impala.
The BlackVue DR590W-2CH-IR as shown here is identical to the DR590-2CH-IR (note the missing "W" from the name), but the "W" version has local WiFi built-in, whereas the DR590-2CH does not.
The DR590W-2CH-IR is a great option for those looking for affordable but reliable front and interior coverage for their vehicle, with the ability to connect directly to their dashcam over WiFi (to copy files, change settings, or check the aim of the cameras). If you just want to remove the memory card to view your recordings, you can opt for the same exact design but at an even less expensive price point, the DR590-2CH-IR. Regardless of which model you opt for (DR590-2CH-IR or DR590W-2CH-IR), the finished product will look just like the example shown below.

We begin our tour of the DR590W-2CH-IR by looking at the front-facing camera from the outside. BlackVue's dark colors and compact design means the dashcam isn't immediately visible to the casual observer.
The Uber rideshare decal is noticeable, the dashcam, not so much!
A close up shot of the front camera from the outside. We think these dashcams look like OEM equipment, which is great for inconspicuous recording.
Now looking in from the passenger side, we get out first view of the inside-facing camera lens of the DR590W-2CH-IR system. The front camera is visible as well.
Note we have utilized our custom offset mounting bracket to give the inside-facing camera lens a better vantage point looking into the vehicle (without obstructions). Without the optional offset mounting bracket, portions of the video frame would contain parts of the rear view mirror or headliner.

From the driver seat, the view out the front windshield is not obstructed at all, thanks to the small size of the DR590W-2CH-IR dashcam lenses.
From the backseat of our Impala, this is the view your rideshare passenger would see. Note the front-facing camera is nearly invisible, and the inside-facing camera is quite discreet as well.
Our client also chose to have the single-lens DR590W-1CH installed in the rear windshield, for complete coverage inside and around their vehicle. They now have the BlackVue 3-channel "Essential" bundle: front, inside, and rear camera angles.

Our technicians installed two Power Magic Pro control boxes in the glove box. Our client now has independent "parking mode" control: one Power Magic for the DR590W-2CH-IR and one for the DR590W-1CH.
