BlackVue has released their biggest redesign to date to it's TRUCK based dash cam lineup, the DR770X-BOX-TRUCK, replacing the older DR750X-3CH series. The older model was notoriously complicated, especially when accessories were added, so BlackVue went back to the drawing board and created the DR770X-BOX-TRUCK from the ground up with security, stealth, and ease of setup in mind

The compact front, interior, and rear cameras connect via coaxial video cable to the separate lock-protected "Box" recording unit, which can be stowed away in a glove compartment, under a seat, or tucked neatly under the dashboard for maximum stealth and security.

All cameras are now Full HD with Sony STARVIS, ensuring superior image quality even in challenging lighting conditions. Additionally, the interior camera comes equipped with infrared LEDs, enabling it to record in complete darkness.

A new wireless "SOS" button is now included to trigger manual event recording. Of course, the BOX also comes with all the included features you'd expect from top-tier dashcams, such as parking surveillance mode, seamless app pairing, optional LTE cloud connectivity and features, built-in Wi-Fi, GPS, and Bluetooth.

What's unique about the TRUCK series is the rear camera: it's completely waterproof and is designed to be mounted in the location of your choosing on the exterior of your vehicle. In addition, the external camera has built-in infrared so everything is captured in even the darkest of nights. This is perfect for heavy-duty trucks or other vehicles such as RV's, delivery vans, construction equipment or box trucks where there is no back windshield to "see" out of (or if you simply prefer to place this rear camera in a unique location such as under the vehicle, in the cargo bay, or on the rear bumper).

Total Video Protection for Trucks & Heavy Vehicles

The DR770X BOX TRUCK is the perfect option for covering most large commercial trucks. Its infrared rear camera is waterproof (IP69K) and connects to the secure Box recording unit through a 15m video cable. This feature lets you keep an eye not only on the road behind but also on the loading and unloading operations of the cargo.

Furthermore, the ultra-wide interior camera has infrared LEDs that capture clear video of the cabin, regardless of the lighting conditions. You also have the option to connect the LTE Connectivity Module, which keeps the dashcam connected to the Cloud continuously for live map locations, remote live viewing, and two-way communication.

Built-in Tamper-Proofing

The DR770X Box is designed from the ground up to prevent tampering. Its main unit features a cover that can be locked with a key, effectively preventing unauthorized access to the microSD card and cable connectors. The camera covers are locked with a hex screw to prevent the unplugging of cables and lock the camera angle in the mount.

Rugged Waterproof Exterior Camera

Featuring a rugged metal waterproof casing, the rear camera of the DR770X Box Truck is built to withstand even the toughest weather conditions. Its Ingress Protection rating of IP69K means that it is capable of withstanding power washing, making it the ideal choice for those working in harsh environments. This camera is designed to be installed at the rear of trucks or heavy vehicles and comes with screws to secure it in place on a flat surface. Additionally, it features a luminosity sensor that detects ambient brightness, automatically activating the six infrared lights to help identify vehicles and objects in the dark.

Ultra-wide Infrared Interior Camera

The infrared camera provides enhanced security for your vehicle's interior. Its infrared LEDs activate in low light conditions, and its wide 180-degree view angle captures both sides of the vehicle. The BlackVue app or viewer allows for customization of the camera's settings. This is especially useful for rideshare drivers and managers who need to keep a close eye on their vehicles.

GPS, Wi-Fi and Optional LTE

GPS

You can check the position of your vehicle on the map while playing back the video, and the speed can also be overlaid on the video. The speed overlay can be hidden in the settings.

Wi-Fi

With Wi-Fi connectivity, you can easily link your BlackVue dashcam to your smartphone or tablet. Additionally, Wi-Fi allows your BlackVue to connect to the BlackVue Cloud using any mobile or home Wi-Fi hotspot or router for easy access to files and settings.

Optional LTE

The DR770X can be connected to BlackVue Cloud via an optional LTE connectivity module via the USB port for the best Cloud experience.

Optional LTE Module

The optional CM100LTE module makes it easy to connect to the cloud 24/7. This add-on device connects to the DR770X front camera via USB port, providing a constant internet connection and allowing the DR770X to serve as a mobile hotspot for up to five devices. Unlike in-vehicle Wi-Fi hotspots, the module stays powered on while parked and provides access to your dash camera from anywhere in the world.

Built-in Impact & Motion Detection

While on the road, the built-in accelerometer (G-sensor) can detect sudden changes in speed or impacts. When parked, the DR770X can also detect any visual movements around your vehicle. These events are automatically tagged and saved. If a cloud connection is present, you'll have the ability to receive alerts and view the clips from both computer and mobile device.

3 Native Parking Surveillance Modes

The DR770X can be hardwired to your vehicle's fuse panel for Parking Surveillance Mode with the included hardwiring kit or optional B-130X battery back. The DR770X will switch to Parking Mode automatically when vehicle ignition is turned off. Parking Mode comes in 3 variations.

Triggered when the sensor detects movement (marked “P” in the file list).

Time Lapse Mode

Records continuously at 1FPS. 1-minute Time lapse Parking Mode video = 30 minutes real time coverage. Impacts initiate a buffered Event video.

More Features & Information

The DR770X-BOX-TRUCK is of course still fully functional as a 'typical' dash cam, recording at all times when you drive, whether you choose to utilize the optional LTE / Cloud features or not:

• When plugged in to your standard power outlet in the vehicle, the system will still power on and off with the vehicle, automatically recording audio, video and GPS speed & location at all times as you drive.
• For motion detection ("parking mode") recording, the DR770X-BOX-TRUCK can be hardwired directly to the vehicle's electrical system via the included direct-wire cable, a new value-added feature of the BlackVue "X" series. No need for a separate Power Magic Pro (although you can still use the Power Magic Pro if you desire). Alternatively, the DR770X-BOX-TRUCK can also be powered by the BlackVue B-130X Battery Pack instead of your car battery while the vehicle is parked.
• All normal driving and parking mode recordings are automatically stored locally on the internal BlackVue memory card 64/128/256 GB options available). Once the memory card is completely 'full', only the oldest video file on the card is overwritten as each new video file is created (this is known as loop recording).
• The memory card can be removed and plugged in to your PC or Mac using the included microSD to USB adapter. This is an easy way to do a bulk download or backup of all your videos.
• The DR770X-BOX-TRUCK does not have a screen on it from which to play back recorded videos from the memory card. Thankfully, the recordings can be accessed via a direct WiFi connection. You can connect to the 750X with your smartphone the same way you would connect to a WiFi network at home or at Starbucks, then use the free BlackVue app to view and download your recordings directly from the camera.
• Audio recording, on by default, can be disabled temporarily, or turned off completely by default.
• GPS speed display can be disabled from being visible in your video recordings.
• Everything you need to use the system is included in the box: front camera with adhesive windshield mount, BlackVue memory card, plug-in power cable, optional direct-wire power cord, etc.

All BlackVue dashcams include a BlackVue-branded 64, 128 or 256 GB memory card. While the memory cards are removable and the card slots will accept other brands of memory cards, we strongly suggest the use of only BlackVue memory cards in the BlackVue dashcams, as the use of a non-BlackVue memory card may cause performance issues and may void your manufacturer’s warranty.

BlackVue OEM memory cards are industrial-grade VNAND-type microSD cards and are designed and tested to withstand the extreme temperatures, vibrations and the constant read/write cycles of high quality dashcams. Typical consumer-grade memory cards such as those from SanDisk are simply not up to the task. Stick with the OEM BlackVue memory cards to ensure your dashcams are always recording when it matters most.
