In this dashcam example photo gallery, we share the completed installation pictures of two complete cloud-capable, high-end dual-lens, Ultra-HD 4K BlackVue BlackVue DR900S-2CH GPS and WiFi dashcam systems, along with dual BlackVue Power Magic Pros in a gorgeous 2018 Tesla Model S. This installation was unique due to the fact that we installed a total of 4 cameras (2 separate DR900S-2CH systems) for full 360° coverage around the vehicle. Keep reading to learn more!
The vehicle now protected with the "Dashcam Defense": a 2018 Tesla Model S!
This installation was performed by The Dashcam Store™ technicians in Austin, Texas. Thank you again M.O. for letting us outfit your stunning Pearl White Model S with two of the best dashcam systems available today.
BlackVue is one of only a few select brands of dashcams that we recommend for these awesome all-electric vehicles from Tesla.

From the exterior of the vehicle, the camera systems are completely hidden from view. If you were a person with bad intentions on your mind, you would have to ask yourself, "Does this car have any other security measures in place?". Hmm, I'm not sure.
Even as you approach the tinted glass of the Model S, it is still difficult to see the main unit of the DR900S. But the owner will rest assured because the DR900S sees you. Daytime or night time, the BlackVue records everything clearly.
Standing next to the Tesla, now we can see the subtle gold ring around the forward-facing lens of the DR900S. So not only were my bad intentions recorded, they have been recorded in 4K resolution. I hope they got my good side!
From the passenger side of the vehicle, we can finally see the DR900S front unit clearly. Inside the cabin, it is veiled from the occupants’ view. Inconspicuous and vigilant.
Looking straight out the front wind shield, the is absolutely no evidence of having anything installed. Our installation professionals have been 'around the block' a few times with some very high-end cars. The Tesla is certainly no exception to that statement. You can expect that an installation done with us leaves nothing out of place. All the wires are hidden from view all the interior panels and molding are back where they should be.
This is the view from the best seat in the house: the driver’s seat of this all electric, high performance sports car.
When you step back and look at the sleek profile of the Model S, the BlackVue camera units disappear into the lines of the vehicle.
So you may be thinking; "Ok the DR900S is a 4K two-channel solution, that means there is a cam on the front windshield and the other camera in the rear window. So, if I approach the car from the side, I will stay out of view. They only have a 162° viewing angle."
Well, sometimes you're right, until you're not!
The picture below has 3 three separate cameras partially visible in it.
People refer to the DR900S-2CH as a front/rear camera dashcam system. This statement is partially true, and is by far the most common use case. The BlackVue systems are specifically two channel systems. The units can go where ever you choose to place them. With this specific installation, our client wanted to cover all 4 sides of the vehicle. So, we installed not one, but a pair of DR900S two channel systems into his Model S.
What? You don't believe us? Ok, follow us down the page and we will show you.
The image below shows the second "main" until installed in this Tesla. It is the "front-facing" unit of the second DR900S-2CH system. Shown here pointing/protecting the car from the rear.
From inside the cabin of the Model S, you can barely see the bottom of the second DR900S primary unit mounted top dead on the rear glass. Perfectly hidden on the inside, crystal clear view of the outside.
As we continue the camera count down on the Model S, we offer you the third camera of the quad setup. The first picture, again, shows how discrete these cameras are once installed. The two images below of one of the "rear-facing" cameras prove we are not exaggerating.
From the front seat looking back, you can clearly see a secondary camera looking out the rear-most side window. Quietly monitoring all activity on the passenger side of the Model S.
Shown in the following pictures is the final camera in our Tesla Model S quad setup. The first image shows how well it is camouflaged by interior of the vehicle.
The second image in the set shows just how close you need to get before you can clearly see a camera. Trust us when we tell you, the BlackVue DR900S secondary camera saw you long before you saw it!
The final picture shows the placement of the camera on the side glass. In the reciprocal position to the passenger’s side. Not blocking a backseat driver view of the country side as it zooms past.
And the final image of our BlackVue DR900S quad channel installation. So, if you were asking yourself, what could be left to see? Power, of course. The Parking Mode feature is a huge asset for the BlackVue line of products. To utilize this feature, you must either use a B-124 Ultra Battery Pack or the Power Magic Pro. When you employ one of these two power modules, you gain more control over how and when your cameras are used to safeguard your vehicle.
Our customer had opted to use dual Power Magic Pros for control, so in this image, we show you the two control modules that our installers have tucked away in the glove box of the Model S.
