The Viofo A229 Duo G is the direct successor to the popular A129 Duo. The A229 series comes in hot with impressive 2K QHD recording (1440p) in both front and rear cameras, which is currently the highest the industry offers in rear recording. The A229 also adds a large 2.4-inch HD LCD screen for easier viewing of live video and improved heat dissipation.

Built-in features such as voice notification, dual-band Wi-Fi, GPS logging, and advanced parking surveillance make this an incredibly attractive dash cam for the price.

Crisp Front + Rear 2K Quad HD Recording

With a built-in Sony STARVIS sensor, the A229 supports up to 1440p Quad HD recording in both front and rear dash cameras, offering enhanced clarity for important details such as license plates, signs, and pedestrians.

Voice Notification

Keep your eyes on the road while the A229 informs you of any vital information such as settings changes or errors. Supports English and multiple other spoken languages.

GPS Logger Built-In

3 Parking Surveillance Modes

The A229 Duo will automatically activate parking surveillance mode when you turn off the ignition providing video evidence of mishaps like hit-and-runs while you’re away from your vehicle.

Auto Event Detection Mode

The camera will automatically record for 45 seconds while moving objects are detected while parked.

Low Bitrate Recording Mode

This mode records video in low bitrate 4Mb/s for both front and rear. It keeps recording continuously in mini file size with audio recorded.

Time Lapse Mode

Time-lapse allows you to record a video at your choice of lower framerates (1 / 2 / 3 / 5 / 10 fps) while parked, saving space on the memory card.

5GHz Wi-Fi Upgraded

A229 Duo is built with an upgraded 5GHz Wi-Fi connection module, offering the fastest ever Wi-Fi data transfer to ensure smooth video preview, download, and sharing.

(optional) Bluetooth Remote Control

Unique to Viofo is the optional "event" remote control. Connected by Bluetooth, the button can be placed anywhere in your vehicle (within 5 meters), allowing you to place it in the most convenient, readily available position in your vehicle. Once pressed, your A229 will lock/protect the current video clip and image so you can preserve for later any important highlights or mishaps along your journey.
